Jeff Appelquist leads an extraordinary seminar at the Little Bighorn battlefield in southeastern Montana. As preparation, participants will read the dramatic, cautionary tale of George Custer, Sitting Bull, and Crazy Horse in Jeff's National Indie Excellence Gold Medal-winning book Sacred Ground: Leadership Lessons From Gettysburg and the Little Bighorn. Lessons abound from this tragic story concerning decision making, trust, communication, and more.

Participants fly into Billings, Montana, and meet in the afternoon to set up the battlefield experience. Next day, we drive one hour to the rugged hills and incredible vistas of the Little Bighorn battle site. We spend the entire day traversing the very ground over which 1500 Lakota Sioux and Northern Cheyenne warriors fought so desperately in defeating Custer's Seventh Cavalry on June 25, 1876. We move chronologically from location to location, working to apply leadership and team lessons to our own professional lives. On our final day, we conclude by discussing insights and opportunities, and what we will do differently as business leaders.
